colormagiq - have it your way!!!

Developing SandFree was, obviously, our biggest breakthrough.  Resolving the problem with wax, was another breakthrough, but not of the same significance.  Figuring out how to replace wood to eliminate dog stains was important, as was the development of the SandFree Floor Conditioning Machine. But NOTHING resolves more wood floor problems than the development of the ColorMagiQ System.  Simply put - the ColorMagiQ System adheres stains to the wood floor.  This means, regardless of which finish is right for your project, we can enhance the color of the floor, or we can blend shades in your floor to be more monochromatic, or we can change the color of the floor to be red, green yellow, or whatever color you desire.  Additionally, if you have asked us to sand your floor, we can use ColorMagiQ to apply an exotic color - yellow, pink, blue, green - to stain your raw wood before we apply the finish!

ColorMagiQ

You have options when you use ColorMagiQ

  1. You can completely change the color - go from light to dark or even from dark to light.  If it is a complete color change, we will apply multiple coats of color, which will not reveal as much wood grain, but your floor will change colors.
  2. You can enhance the existing color. In this case, we will apply 1-2 coats of color,  which will blend the existing color with the new color. Depending on which color you select, the technician will apply 1, 2, or 3 coats of stain. With 1,2 or 3 coats of color the wood grain is not hidden.

Some Common Situations

Parquet FlooringDog Stains
There are lots of dog stains. How would we resolve this? We would use the multiple coats of color to blend the whole floor with the dog stains. This is a 90% solution - you won't look like a newly sanded floor with no dog stains, but the stains will no longer be obvious.

Fading by a Sliding Glass Door
We would probably use 1 or 2 coats of color, and our technicians will be able to mitigate the difference between the faded area and the non-faded area.

Worn Areas in Front of a Sink
We would probably use 1 coat of color to repair the damaged color, and then repair the enhance the color on the rest of the floor.

Traffic Areas
We will probably use a coat of color to repair the damaged area, and then enhance the rest of the floor.

The Previous Owner Stained Only Around the Rug
We will use multiple coats of color to repair the unstained area, and then address the color of the rest of the floor.

Pickled Oak Floors
No longer a problem. Select the Pickled Oak stain and we can repair the black/brown areas of damage and restore the floor.

Tired of Pickled Oak
If you want to go a lot darker, we will use multiple coats of color and take your floor down to a walnut/medium brown color.

Want to Generally Lighten a Dark Floor?
Not a problem. We can use the tones from the light areas in your wood and use that to generally lighten the whole floor with the transparent base.

Want to Make a Light Floor Darker?
Not a problem. The original color of the wood will be blended with much darker overtones to darken the floor without an artificial appearance.

Want to Make Your Dark Floor White? Yellow? Pink?
Not a problem. We can determine which finish will give you the appearance you're looking for and then change your floor color in a day!

Using ColorMagiQ, the color problems of the past are exactly that - problems of the past. Please refer to the ColorMagiQ Chart to find a color for your future.
